Presented at the 2024 Year-End Review Conference for the Information and Communications Sector of Da Nang, held on January 7, 2025, at Da Nang Software Park, this recognition places SmartDev among the most impactful IT enterprises in the region. The numbers speak for themselves! In 2024, Da Nang’s IT sector achieved 39,888 billion VND in revenue, marking a 9.07% year-on-year growth. The city’s software export revenue reached 165 million USD, reflecting an 11.6% increase, while the digital economy accounted for 20.69% of the city’s GRDP, surpassing projected milestones by two years. Additionally, Da Nang maintained its leading position in Vietnam’s IT readiness index among centrally governed cities for an unprecedented 14th consecutive year.
During the ceremony, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, commended the sector’s progress and stressed the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping future growth. He also announced the forthcoming transformation of the department into the Department of Science, Technology, and Communications, a strategic shift to further accelerate digital transformation in alignment with Resolution No. 57 of the Political Bureau.
